Job Purpose: To support the Purchasing team with the efficient supply of materials through accurate data entry, stock checks, order processing, and supplier communication, while developing the skills and knowledge required for a future career in procurement. This apprenticeship will provide hands on experience in a fast paced FMCG environment and include full training on ERP systems, purchasing processes, and supply chain operations. Main Responsibilities: The Purchasing Apprentice will be trained to assist with: * Supporting requirements planning for packaging and ingredients. * Creating, raising, and sending purchase orders under supervision. * Checking order confirmations and highlighting discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager. * Liaising with suppliers regarding delivery dates, queries, and updates. * Updating ERP systems accurately to maintain correct purchasing and stock data. * Working closely with the Purchasing Manager and Production Planning teams on delivery dates and stock updates. * Assisting with monthly cycle counts for Moy Production and reporting variances. * Monitoring supplier performance and reporting any issues or non-conformances. * Learning and applying procurement best practices within the business. * Any other reasonable duties that support the Purchasing team and overall company operation. As a Purchasing Apprentice, you will contribute to our company's lean journey by continuously seeking better, smarter, and more efficient ways of working.
Required qualifications/Experience

The ideal candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills, be confident using IT systems such as Word, Excel and Outlook, and have an interest in FMCG or manufacturing. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided, though experience in administrative or customer service roles, or in a factory or office environment, would be beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions accurately, work independently once trained, and a willingness to learn and develop. They must also be eligible and willing to enrol in a relevant apprenticeship programme and be able to work onsite full time. A basic understanding of purchasing or supply chain processes is desirable.
